Summit Lane's kindergarten classes were very busy during the month of December. The children "boarded" Summit Air to travel around the world.
Students and staff at Summit Lane Elementary School recently donned matching orange t-shirts to officially kicked off their Unity and P.R.I.D.E. program.

Due to their dedication and enthusiasm in supporting the Hoops for Heart Program, Summit Lane Elementary School was recently recognized as a New York State Hoops for Heart Champion at the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance's Amazing People Awards Ceremony.
Summit Lane Elementary School students learned the importance of being energy efficient with the help of the National Theatre for Children and PSEG Long Island's show, The Energized Guyz on Nov. 17.
Summit Lane's Girl Scout Troops 3514 and 3540 had a lot of fun planting flowers in the bus circle garden.
Tears of joy resonated through Summit Lane's cafeteria as second-graders in Christine Pace's class honored a VIP in their lives during the annual Hero Celebration. The students collectively sang songs to their guests and read a personalized letter about their hero's most impressive qualities and why he or she is important to them. After reading their report at the podium, the students presented their heroes with an elaborately designed booklet, which included photos pictured with their hero, the personalized letter and research.
